Yikes...in 4 months she will be 2!! Where the heck has time gone? Wow. I'm not sure I am ready for the two's with Haley, especially with two need additions coming before that! But maybe I am wrong and she will be an angel! ;) I can always dream right?
We don't have any doc appts till 2, so I have no idea what her stats are at this point other than heavy! :) But I think she is still about 30 pounds. She weighed herself at my OB appt last Friday and she was exactly 30 pounds. That hasn't changed much.
What has changed is that she is definitely becoming more vocal now. She has a long list of vocabulary at this point, at least enough to get her point across. Here is a list of her words: (if I can remember them)
--more (she just started saying this as opposed to signing it!)
--bird
--please
--bye bye
--night night
--hello
--grandma (only heard once though) she has called her mei mei though
--up
--kitty
--cat
--boo (the cat)
--boo boo (for an ouchie)
--mama seems to be her word for something she wants if she doesn't know what it is
--book
--read (this she just said today...I'm trying to get her to say please read instead of throwing the book in our faces!)
--bop bop (horse sound klopp klopp)
--moo
--baa
--ah ah (for the monkey)
--quack quack
That is all I can think of at the moment. It will all come to me as I finish the post of course. But she loves to get books and point to the pictures so you can tell her what they are. She doesn't care about the words in the book right now anymore. She loves the picture dictionaries.
She also does love to throw tantrums when she doesn't get her way or you don't give her the food that she wants. With the food tantrums she often she often flails her arms if she is in the high chair and knocks everything onto the floor. We hope this stage doesn't last long!
She is pretty entertaining though at this age! She will often just crack me up. The big girl bed is the same as the pervious post she made, no big progress there. However we did get child proof things for the doorknob, we just haven't put them on yet. We will see if that helps and then whereever she falls asleep she sleeps! ha. She will eventually learn that her bed is the most comfortable!
Here is a picture of her last pool trip with daddy before the pools closed for the season. She will have to make some posts this week since I just uploaded the pictures from the camera. I'm sure she will want to tell you about her weekend in Richmond with Uncle Teddy and Auntie Anne! :)
