Another pool date with Ellie

Last Tuesday night mommy invited Ms. Arria and Ellie to the pool for another playdate! Ms. Arria made some peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and mommy ordered pizza. Ellie and I played in the baby pool until daddy arrived. I ate some pizza and then Ms. Arria was nice enough to let me borrow Ellie's arm floaties. Then mommy joined daddy and I in the big pool and took Ellie with her. So we all played in the big pool while Ms. Arria was nice enough to take pictures for us. Here are some of the ones she took.

Here is daddy and I leaving to test out the arm floaties.

Here is Ellie with her new boo-boos.

Daddy and me and mommy with Ellie.

Our family.

Daddy trying to get me to swim to mommy. This was before we put my vest floatie on and I could do it myself.

You will see more swimming pictures Im sure because the pool closes next week, so daddy is making sure to make the most of it! Time for nap. Night night.

Swim Swim

Yesterday at 7:05 PM (I know, past my bedtime), I made swimming history! I swam by myself, without holding on to daddy. Yippee! With the aid of floaties and a buoyant suit, I kicked kicked and swam away like a fish.

From mommy's farm game, I also learned what the animals say... wanna see?

After all the day's hard work, I just wanted to relax on the floating ring...

Swimming

I love to go swimming with daddy. But I also like to invite my friends to come with mommy and me. Here is a picture from last week when mommy invited my friends.

Brooke, Me, Ellie, Audrey and Lorelei all lined up against the fence.
This one is courtesy of Ms. Kerry.

Same picture, just a different angle. Courtesy of Ms. Arria.

Thanks for joining me girls!

Mommy took some pictures of me swimming tonight with Ellie, but she hasn't uploaded them yet. I will post them when she adds them. We are borrowing Ellie's arm floaties and it helps me swim! I love to swim. I also love to sit on the stairs in the big pool and kick, kick, kick.

Burke Lake Park

The day after daddy and I got back, mommy took me to Burke Lake Park to meet my friends. We rode the train and the carousel. It was fun. I also got to play on the playground for a little bit. But most of our time was spent waiting in line for the train. Of course I ate all of Ellie's snacks too. But that is just a normal activity.

Here I am sitting on the train waiting for it to start.

Here is a picture of mommy and me. I don't like to look at cameras anymore!

Here I am riding the carousel with Ms. Arria and Ellie. Ellie is on the other side of Ms. Arria. Mommy didn't want to ride it because it went around and around too many times! I had fun though!

California - I came, I swam, I napped...

Daddy took me to Southern California for 6 days and I got to meet more family members. Daddy says I was a good girl on the plane so he'll take me on another trip anytime.

Wednesday 5am - Mommy dropped Daddy & I at the airport in DC very early and we arrived in sunny California in the afternoon. (Thank you mommy!!!) I was a bit tired but good thing I napped in the plane. When we landed, I met my cousin Steven and aunty Hue for the first time at the airport and they took us to lunch right away.

I was hoping Daddy would feed me first but he took a picture instead so I didn't smile for him. (Ha! That'll teach him not to feed me when I have a fork in hand!)

On the second day there, Daddy bought some fruits from the supermarket and I tried them all. Cherries, longan, lychee, mini bananas. I wasn't sure if I like this one in my mouth.

On Friday, daddy took us to Chinatown and he bought me a Chinese outfit. I tried it on right away as I wanted to blend in with people in Chinatown. I think my accent gave me away.

For the weekend, daddy took me to San Diego. We spent Saturday morning in Mission Bay where cousin Steven, daddy and I swam while granpa watched us from shore.

On Sunday, we returned to the other side of Mission Bay and I kayaked while Daddy was enjoying the scenery and playing with my hair.

More to come in a few days as daddy's finally learned how to update this blog for me. Mommy taught him well!

Weekend cont. Sunday

On Sunday, mommy and daddy took me to the 4-H festival at Frying Pan Park. It was pouring rain most of the morning, but they wanted to go anyways! We got there and it wasn't raining and then it started again. But they used my rain cover on the stroller, so I didn't get too wet. I had so much fun. Daddy went to talk to his tree people and mommy took me to meet Ellie and her mommy and daddy. I got to see bunnies. Then we walked to where the pigs were, but it was stinky. We went inside the barn to the corn sandbox, it was tons of fun! I could make a mess and not have it stuck to me. The only problem was the corn kept getting stuck in my shoes. We waited and waited on daddy and he took a really long time, so we moved on. I got to see some black horses and then we passed the chickens. Daddy finally came just in time for the rides. Thank goodness cause mommy couldn't take me on them. Ellie and I rode 4 rides together, it was so much fun! It started to rain again when we started going on the rides, but that didn't stop us from riding and having fun.

We first rode the carousel. I sat on a horse and daddy held onto me. I wasn't so sure about the rides though. Next we all sat in the caboose of the train and it went around a circle three times. It was fun though. It was funny to see Mr. Ryan climb in the train with us. We then went onto this other train ride that went in a circle and our private train spun around really fast. Ellie and I were going to go ourselves, but since the guy took so long to start the ride daddy had to come with us because Ellie kept trying to stand up. Mommy got a good laugh out of that one. It was pretty funny seeing daddy so tall try to fit into this little train. The last ride we rode in a whale and I got to sit all by myself! I did so well. Again, I wasn't quite sure about the ride. But it was fun. Then we walk around to see some sheep and went home since it was close to my nap time.
Here are some pictures from the fair.

Me and daddy on the carousel.

Ellie and I with our daddies in the train caboose.

Daddy with Ellie and I. This was the second the ride started moving. The facial expressions are classic!

Here is Ellie and I as it was moving around and around. Notice we each had whales in the color of our shirts! Nice choice daddies!

This is me once the ride stopped. I still wasn't sure what to think.

Mommy and daddy napped when I napped too. Something about being outside in the heat is exhausting! After we woke up, we went to grampy and grammy's house for dinner. I ate some eggplant parmigiana and some salad. I only like lettuce if it has dressing on it. I will spit it out if it doesn't have dressing. Grammy got to catch my spit outs a couple times. That is such love!

That is all we did on Sunday. It was a fun, but tiring weekend. I am off to California tomorrow to meet my aunties, cousins and see my other grandpa again. Wish me luck. Mommy won't be around to take care of me, only daddy. Good thing she packed all my outfits, so at least I will match! :)

Talk to you when I get back. xxoo

Weekend cont.

Saturday, daddy took me to gymnastics class in the morning. He took some pictures of me doing my favorite things! It was fun. I'm sad that I am going to miss it this weekend and there is only one more class after that. Oh well.

I took my nap when I came home from class and then mommy and daddy took me to the Moms of Multiples group picnic at Van Dyck Park. I had so much fun I didnt want to leave the park. Daddy had to carry me out of there. But I sure did sleep well that night. They had a blow up pool with fish in there and I got to use a fishing rod to catch them. It was so much fun, I spent most of my time hanging out there. I didn't even want to eat my dinner because I had to leave the fish. Then the ice cream truck came and mommy and daddy ate their ice cream and gave me a taste of some of theirs. It was yummy.

Here are some pictures from Saturday.

Notice that daddy dressed me before class, not mommy.

Riding the panda!

I even got to drive the fire truck.

Here is me fishing! It was my favorite thing to do!

It's nap time. I will do Sunday when I wake up.

My busy weekend

On Friday, mommy and daddy took me to the pool to swim. I had a lot of fun!

Mommy and me swimming.

This is my new thing in the water. I used to hate having the back of my head in, but as long as my ears dont go under, I'm good with it.

Ok to be continued...we are going back to the pool.
