Great grandma

Mommy tells me that this morning I lost my great grandma. :( This makes me very sad, but I know she is in a better place now and hopefully pain free. The last time I saw her was on Mother's Day when we peeked in her window to say hello since we couldn't go in. She had mrsa, so we played it safe and didn't go in. But I think she enjoyed seeing us. Here are a few pictures that mommy could find for me of her and I.

This is at my baptism, the first time I met my great grandma.

This was when we went to take 4 generation pictures. Here is just great grandma and I.

Here are the 4 generations, mommy, grampy, great grandma and me!

Here I am with great grandma on her 95th birthday! I hope I live to be that old too.

And here we are celebrating my 1st birthday with the family at Fudruckers.

May she rest in peace with her siblings and her husband. Love you great grandma.

Feeding the ducks..

Yesterday mommy took me to a pond to feed the ducks. There was only one duck to begin with, then when we were playing on the tot lot more showed up. Even a little duckling. It was fun.

That duck was right in my face! He was a hungry one.

Here I am trying to get onto the tire swing. Mommy rode with me for a bit, but it was a little uncomfy for her.

Here is when the baby came around. I had to give him small pieces so he could chew it.

Onto other things, here is my teesse face.

My last music class of the season.....

Last Friday was our last music class of the season. I was very upset to hear this news. Good thing mommy just signed me up for two more classes for the summer. But we all made the most of it and we had a blast. They even had a pizza party for us afterwards. Here are some pictures.

Daddy got to join us. It was fun having daddy there too! Too bad mommy cut his head off in the picture.

Here I am during the wheels on the bus with my pom pom and two balls! I was being greedy!

Here is Lorelei, Brooke, me and Audrey sitting at the table waiting for food to arrive. We got to eat goldfish while we waited.

Here is a close up of Brooke, Audrey and I.

Mommy let me have some sausage pizza. I liked it.

Here is a picture of mommy and I. We don't have any recent pictures of us. We even matched!

We all had a great time and can't wait till September when we go back. :)

16 months today!!!

Mommy here. My little baby girl is 16 months today, I can't believe it. Where has the time gone? As far as updates, she is talking a lot more. Only some words that you can recognize. Her new thing is to look for birds and ducks. She does the sign language for birds and then she does the quack sign for ducks...it is pretty darn cute. She gets so excited when she sees one as well. In BJ's yesterday she pointed to a heron statue they had on display and started doing her signs and pointing. She picked it out on her own. She even stopped on our walk to point out the duck statue in our neighbors lawn. It is just too cute. Here is her word list:

*go-usually at the cats who are in her bedroom or playroom
*coco-not a new one
*cheese-she pronounces it "teese" this is when I have the camera out (however this morning she picks up the camera and point it as herself and says teese)
*bird-I'm not sure how she pronounces it yet, I haven't deciphered. but it starts with a b.
*uh oh--and this comes out pretty clear. I was going into her bedroom this morning to get her after she woke up and i hear "uh oh" and I walk in and her blankie was on the floor and she was pointing to it saying "uh oh" It was cute and funny.
*mama-all the time she says this! its most of the time when she wants something, like more food, everything is mama and she points.
*papa-dada became papa nowadays.
*oh

That is all I can think of at the moment. She is definitely becoming more independent with the walking. She refuses to hold my hand now, only when it's her choice. However, when she is in the playroom with me she always wants up to sit next to me in the chair. She is very adamant about this as well.

Grocery store or shopping trips have gotten better as long as I go when she just wakes up or is not tired. This usually makes it a lot better. It's even better if she has some food in her hand in case she gets hungry. We think that she is on the "seefood" diet! She definitely gets that from her daddy!

She has 11 teeth that have worked their way through the skin. The 12th one is only halfway through, which makes it more fun for us!

When you say, "how big is Haley?" She raises her arms and put her hands on her head....again really cute. One day I will get this on video!

She knows some body parts, but not all of course. She knows: ears, nose, tummy, belly button, mouth. I think that is it...we don't work on it as much as we should I am sure.

She does know that socks go on her feet along with her shoes. She pulls her socks off all the time still, but then tries to put them back on. Or on my feet. When I get out her socks, she lifts up a foot for me to put it on. She also does this with her shoes.

Putting on her pants, if she is sitting on your lap, she will put her legs through. Very helpful. Also while taking off the pants if she is standing up, she will pull her legs out of the leg holes to get them off. Very clever.

She uses the sign for more all the time now. I go to pick her up in the morning and she signs more. So I am trying to teach her hungry, she did it this morning, but I think she was just mimiking me. We will see if it sticks.

Temper tantrums are still there if she doesn't get her way. Yesterday was wanting to hold the juice box after squeezing it all over herself.

She is getting good at using her plasticware! She is good at stabbing things with the fork and her scooping is getting there. She turns the spoon before she puts it in her mouth, so most of it falls off before it gets to her. She usually ends up starting with the fork or spoon, but then gives up and uses her hands. I think she can shovel it in faster that way. This makes eating yogurt so much more fun and messy!

I believe that is all of her updates for now. Here are a couple pics from her playing this morning.

Another new fun toy....

Gosh, I must have been really good lately to get all these new toys! This one is a water one. I love playing in the water. This past weekend at Ms. Jen's house, and Mr. Keith's too, I hung out by the keg! I liked playing in the ice cubs and then handing them to daddy. He didn't like it to much. My hands were all red because it was so cold. But I had a blast. I think that is why they got me this toy. Mommy set it up in the house because it was kind of chilly outside earlier in the week. Little did she know that I would make a huge mess!
Here are some pictures of me playing in it. These pictures aren't as good as the car ones, but at least you get to see my new toy!

You can kind of see how wet my shirt was at this point! Mommy had to strip me so I wouldn't get home and then change my outfit.

My new ride

Mommy and daddy got me a new ride. Wanna see it?

This is my first time getting in it! I just love to ride. Here are some more good ones.

I love going for rides, I just wish mommy would let me stay out longer.

We officially have a walker now!

It's very exciting to a limit! Now that she can walk, she doesn't want to be held or even sit in a grocery cart! This makes grocery shopping loads of fun. I don't think we haven't been to the grocery store recently where she didn't throw a tantrum! Oh the terrible two's are going to be so much fun.

She has been walking now for a little over a week. I'm telling you, once I put those pedipeds on her feet she hasn't stopped walking. But we are very proud of her and she is for the most part very stable. She walked the cul-de-sac and then some this evening while we were trying to kill time after she woke up from her nap and before daddy got home. Now that she can walk, she also doesn't want to be trapped in her playroom. But if we are outside it is ok...also there isn't any food in sight for her to start a tantrum over!

Yesterday as we were waiting for daddy to get home, she was handing me the raisin container and doing the sign for more. So I gave her a few, not wanting her to have too many because dinner time was around the corner. Well then I took the container away and told her no...well you would think that I just bit her hand or something. She cried big tears and was sobbing because she wanted more raisins. I couldn't believe my eyes. I walked out of the room and said that we were going to eat dinner then and she threw herself on the floor and continued to cry her eyes out. So she finally stood up and allowed me to pick her up and tell her that it was dinner time. That was fun! ha.

Also yesterday, I have never laughed so hard! She was running around her room in her diaper as she had gotten away before I could put some clothes on her. Well she stepped on a plastic hanger and then went boom. She then decides to play with the hanger while over her foot still and ends up pulling the smaller triangle end tighter around her ankle. She pulled and pulled and it wouldn't come off, so she started to get frustrated. I tell her to come here and I will take it off. She stands up and is walking over to me with the hanger still around her ankle. I was laughing the entire time. If only I had the camera on me at that moment. It was a classic!

Here are some pictures as I was trying to kill time with her before daddy got home and after dinner.

So cute!

I'm ready for my first day of school!!

"Mama, mama" This is her new word for everything, especially when she wants something.

Look at that face!

And finally daddy has arrived!!!!
